NEW 300C CARRIER WORKOVER RIG API 4-E

Telescoping twin box structural mast is designed and constructed to API standard 4-E (Third Revision) and Q-1 quality control (Second Revision) and shall have an API monogram.  Pictures are an example of a previously built rig.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION OF CARRIER MOUNTED WORKOVER RIG

 

300 C Double Drum Well Servicing and Workover Rig / Unit. 

 

Mast is 95 225,000K-lb capacities. 

 

Engine is CAT C-9 350 hp @ 2000 rpm diesel with Allison C 750 transmission with torque converter. 

 

All equipment is mounted on heavy-duty 4-axle carrier, with fold down accessories.

 

RIG CARRIER

 

RIG HEAVY DUTY PRIME MOVER 4 AXLE CARRIER

 

· 4-axle heavy-duty Carrier suspension shall be a 4 axle with 100Klb total capacity. All lights and brakes are equipped for attachment to the truck. All axles have spring brake chambers for safety.

 

RIG TIRES 

 

(12 - 11:00 X 20, 14 PLY)

 

· All tires, disc wheels, sixteen 11:00 x 20, 14 ply all terrain tread. Tire rating 52,000psi (23.5 t/cm2) total, all tires inflated to 100psi.

 

110 GALLON FUEL TANK

 

· 110-gallon (416 L) fuel tank, side mounted on carrier frame

 

RIG TOOL BOX

 

· One Triple tool storage box of steel plate construction, reinforced doors with chain stops. Doors have lockable hasps.

 

FOUR PLATFORMS WITH HANDRAILS - OPERATOR SIDE

 

· Four-platforms, hinged along operator's side of unit at bed level, running continuously from operator's position to cab of unit. Each platform is approximately 6' (1.8 m) long x 2' (0.6 m) wide. Four handrails attached to platforms on operator's side of rig. Includes stair with handrails from platform to ground.

 

RIG DEADLINE ANCHOR - CLAMP TYPE

 

· Standard drum type anchor with line clamp, to fit line used on unit. Anchor attaches directly to carrier frame.

 

TWO PEDESTALS FOR RIG HYDRAULIC JACKS

 

· Pedestals under front jacks for rig stability. Two pedestals required.

 

50 GPM (189 LPM) RIG HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

 

· System is designed to operate at a maximum of 2Kpsi (140.6 kg/sq. cm) with 50 GPM (189 LPM) at 2,100psi.


· Hydraulic pump driven from PTO on transmission. Air activated clutch for pump engagement and disengagement.


· 200-gallon (757 L) hydraulic oil tank including installation, filler cap, breather and combination oil level, and oil temperature gauge.

 

FOUR (4) RIG HYDRAULIC JACKSCREWS

 

· Four hydraulic leveling jacks, two mounted in rear bumper, two mounted mid point of rig to remove weight of rig from axles and to provide greater lateral stability. Each jack has an adjustable support screw with locking nut feature.

 

RIG TONG CIRCUIT

 

· Tong hydraulic circuit is designed to operate up to 50 GPM-2000psi (189 LPM-140.6 kg/sq. cm) at 2,100-RPM intermittent duty. Includes connectors, pressure, and return lines, pressure gauge, directional flow valve, and pressure regulating valve. (Does not include tongs.)

 

RIG HANDLING WINCH (One)

 

· Hydraulic powered planetary winch 8Klb (3.6 t) line pull, rated at 100 ft minute (30 m) at 50 GPM and 2Kpsi at 110 RPM.


· Ratings are for first wrap on drum.


· 325 feet (99 m) of 1/2" line provided with winch. (Fail-safe brake, winch pull-in and run-out is hydraulically powered.)
· Winch sheaves provided in crown.


· Winch controls are located at rear of unit near operator's console.

 

RIG ENGINE / TRANSMISSION 

 

ENGINE ASSEMBLY

 

· CAT C-9 350 hp @ 2000 RPM with limiting speed governor, air throttle actuator, and SAE #1 flywheel housing. Exhaust is diverted to off-operator side with 85dba muffler and spark arrestors. 

· Permanent type anti-freeze

· Dry type air cleaner

· Lube and fuel filters

· 24 CFM (6528 cu cm/sec) engine-driven air compressor

· 75 amp alternator, 12 volt

· 12 volt electric starting

· High ambient (125°F, 52°C) radiator and fan

· High water temperature/low oil pressure emergency shut-down

· Overspeed emergency shut-down

· Engine oil pressure gauge & water temperature gauge mounted on engine

 

RIG TRANSMISSION C 750

 

· Allison C 750 six speed transmission with converter & oil cooler. Air over hydraulic dual controls.

 

DOUBLE DRUM RIG MODEL, 42x12-38x8:

 

MODEL 4212 RIG MAIN DRUM WINCH ASSEMBLY

 

· Full air, three plate 24"(60.9 cm) clutch outside drawworks frame. 

Brakes are 42" (106.7 cm) diameter x 12" (30.5 cm) wide, lined with 1 in (2.5 cm) x 12" (30.5 cm) x 12" (30.5 cm) 

API drilled brake blocks, full wrap dead-end equalized. 

Brake rims are removable with rings for splash water-cooling.

Brake operation shafts are mounted on ball bearings; these are self energized type for positive application and release by operator. 

Drum barrel is 18" (45.7 cm) diameter x 38" (96.5 cm) long, mounted on double row self-aligning spherical roller bearings on a 6 ½" (16.5 cm) drum shaft. 

Clutch single line pull is 42,500lb on bare drum and in first gear.

 

MODEL 38X8 RIG SANDLINE DRUM

 

· Full air single plate 24" (60.9 cm) clutch. 

Brakes are 38" (96.5 cm) diameter x 8" (20.3 cm) wide lined with 1" (2.5 cm) x 8" (20.3 cm) x 12" (30.5 cm) API drilled brake blocks, full wrap, dead-end equalized. 

Brakes are removable with rings for splash water cooling. 

5" (12.7 cm) drum shaft mounted on double row self aligning spherical roller bearings, drum barrel is 12 ¾" (32.3 cm) diameter x 40" (101.6 cm) long. 

Capacity of 9/16" (1.4 cm) wire line is 12,000 ft (4450 m) 1,500 ft (3627 m) of 5/8" (1.6 cm) line.

 

RIG SANDLINE DRUM CONTROL

 

· Sandline drum control consisting of a mechanical brake lever, combination air clutch and engine throttle valve are located on operator's side of winch. 

Engine emergency kill switch is located in panel with clutch control valve.

 

RIG LUBRICATION SYSTEM

 

· Centralized lubrication system to all bearings and brake linkage on drawworks is located outside frame.

 

RIG BRAKE - WATER COOLING

 

· Includes air-pressurized water system with 60 gal (277 L) reservoir, filler, air and water piping from reservoir to main drum brake rims.

 

RIG DRAWWORKS DRIVE

 

· Consists of:
· ASA-140-2 (1 ¾") pitch, double strand, roller chain
· Chain drive from input sprocket-to-sprocket on jackshaft
· ASA-140-2 (1 ¾") pitch, double strand, roller chain as final drive to main drum.

 

GROOVED JACKET: RIG MAIN DRUM-1" (2.5 CM)

 

· LEBUS counter balanced sleeve is grooved for 1" (2.5 cm) wireline, to assist spooling, and reduce line wear.

 

RIG HYDROTARDER:

 

· 122 double rotor hydrotarder with air clutch, drip oil lubrication for drive chain.

· Two plate 24" (60.9 cm) air clutch on drum shaft.

· 200-gallon (1135 L) water tank, lines, valves, and plumbing installed on rig.

· Hydrotarder includes air controlled inlet valve and piping for water.

 

95'/225K "DOUBLE BOX" RIG MAST

 

· 96' clear working height with an API rated static hook load of:

· 180Klb (81.82 mt) with 6 lines strung.

· 225Klb (102.27 mt) with 8 lines strung.

· Mast is designed to withstand a wind of 75-mph (120.7 km/h) from any direction provided the four jacks on the vehicle are properly deployed and the mast is properly guyed.

 

Telescoping twin box structural mast is designed and constructed to API standard 4-E (Third Revision) and Q-1 quality control (Second Revision) and shall have an API monogram.

 

· Two-section construction with the upper section telescoping into the lower section for over-the-road position - Top section of mast automatically latches to lower section, when extended.

· Lock control at base of mast

· Ladder to crows nest on crown

· Load Limiting Device installed to prevent overloading the mast.

· The mast is attached to its support frame at the pivot point near the rig's rear bumper. It is supported during roading by a rest (headache frame) near the front of the rig. Each leg of the lower section contains an adjustable support screw.

· Mast has large girts and braces that do not extend inside, for extra block clearance.

· Mast includes: installation, front rest and two internal load lines to rig from crown and two form top of lower section, with tail chains and tightening boomers.

· Fold-down adjustable floor

 
RIG CROWN:

 

· Bender Crown arrangement for 6 or 8 line string-up with conventional block shall hang flat with mast:

· One-36" (91.4 cm) diameter fastline sheave, grooved 1" (2.5 cm)

· One-36" (76 cm) diameter deadline sheave, grooved 1" (2.5 cm)

· Three-30" (76 cm) diameter sheave cross-mounted, grooved 1" (2.5 cm)

· One-24" (60.9 cm) diameter sandline sheave, grooved 9/16" (1.4 cm)

· Two-Cat line sheaves

· Crown sheaves are steel with flame-hardened grooves.

· Sheaves are mounted on Timken tapered roller bearings.

· Fittings provided for individual greasing of bearings.

· Crows nest (crown platform) provided for safety when servicing crown sheaves, floor of expanded metal, handrails and toe boards around crown with entrance at ladder.

· Attachment for four wind guylines from crown to ground is provided on crown beams.

 

RIG TUBING BOARD:

 

· Tubing board, of all welded construction, is automatically lowered into working position as mast is telescoped up and is raised into folded position as mast is telescoped down for roading.

 

· Tubing board fingers are for 15,000 ft (4065 m) of 2 7/8" (7.3 cm) or 10,400 ft (2818 m) of 3 ½" (9 cm) tubing.

 

· Tubing board mounted at 55 ft (16.8 m) above setback for racking doubles.

 

· 2' 6" (.6 m, 15.2 cm) wide monkey board/walkway included.
· Handrails around tubing board for safety.

 

RIG MAST - RAISING, LOWERING AND TELESCOPING:

 

· Mast is hydraulically raised and scoped by hydraulic cylinders, and unlocking upper section from lower section and extending until the spring-loaded latches snap into operating position extends upper section.


· Mast is retracted in like manner. When latches clear the latch seats, a control line is pulled to retract latches, and mast shall lower to its stacked position with section re-locked together, mast is lowered to headrest.

 

· Locking pins shall be painted orange.

 

· Audible or visual signaling device is provided to insure mast is locked together.

 

RIG MAST CONTROLS:

 

· Raising, lowering and telescoping controls are installed at operator's position near base section of mast, which are unlatched and moved at time of raising or lowering the mast.
